ŚWINOUJŚCIE, town in south pomeranial province by the Baltic Sea, mainly on the Uznam and Wolin Islands, separated from itselves by Świna Strait. The town has 46 000 inhabitants. There is the biggest fishing port in Poland- there dominates fishing and shipbuilding industry. Świnoujście is a seaside and health resort with international importance – there are cured diseases of circulatory system.
